ART II: Advanced Explorations in Art Media and Concepts

PREREQUISITE: ART I
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This level two course is designed to further develop, enhance, and build upon art skills and concepts introduced in ART I. Students will have the opportunity to create artworks in a variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. This course will enable students to explore and develop personal style based on an understanding of art history and contemporary art. Students will be encouraged to utilize art as a tool to address real life problems in their personal lives, community, and global society. All objectives and lessons are aligned with the HCPSIII standards in Fine Arts.
